One of Madison’s most vibrant worship communities, Lighthouse Church, celebrated its 30 year anniversary on Sunday, November 24, 2024. Lighthouse Church is lead by pastors Marcio and Tia Sierra, and Stephanie Avila. Guest speaker for the celebration was Alex Gee, pastor of Fountain of Life Covenant Church with other Madison pastors in attendance. More photos here.

Richard Jones Sr., who passed away on Nov. 16 at the age of 61. Rev. Jones, who spent almost a decade serving as the senior pastor of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Madison’s largest Black church, was well-known in Madison for his generosity, kindness, and compassion. (Madison WI News Release) — The Madison Christian Giving Fund (MCGF), which has raised and donated to local charities over $1.2 million in the past decade, is entering 2025 with a new name, new partners, and a new, more dynamic grant process to deliver financial support to Christian ministries serving the needs of Madison area residents. Madison, WI — A coalition of churches across Madison is coming together to host the third annual Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service on Monday, November 25, 2024. The service will be at Bethel Lutheran Church, 312 Wisconsin Ave. It will provide an inclusive space for worshippers of diverse Christian traditions to gather in gratitude and fellowship. (RNS) — As two dozen pastors, poll chaplains and other leaders gathered for a pre-election press conference outside of First United Methodist Church in Wisconsin’s capital Wednesday (Oct. 30), they got a taste of what life is like in a battleground state. MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -Good Shepherd Lutheran Church partnered with Westwood Christian Church for its 14th annual ‘Trunk or Treat’ event on Saturday.
