The annual Kingdom Justice Summit was held Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Upper House. “The morning began with Shane Claiborne passionately calling us into living justly here and now. Maggie Capra gave historical context to the divisive place we find the American church in, and Pastor Marcio Sierra convicted us to start – to ‘just do it’ – in terms of reaching out to build relationships as a way to build unity. ” But before the summit began, about 90 of the participants gathered the night before in area homes to have a meal and conversations to build relationships. The…
By Timothy Goropevsek – Christian Daily International – For nearly eight decades, Urbana has stood as one of the most influential missions gatherings in North American evangelicalism, inspiring generations of young Christians to consider their role in taking the gospel to the ends of the earth. (Urbana is sponsored by Madison-based InterVarsity Christian Fellowship.) But as Christianity’s center of gravity continues shifting toward the Global South, the triennial event grappled with the question: what does mission look like in a world where leadership is no longer primarily Western? That challenge was central to Urbana 25, the most recent gathering held…
by Gordon Govier The meeting of the Wisconsin State Committe of the American Solidarity Party (ASP) at a Fitchburg restaurant Saturday started and ended with a prayer. “It’s our first big face-to-face meeting since COVID,” said state party chair David Bovee. It was not a big meeting. Three committee members were present and a half-dozen interested and curious local residents joined them. The State Committee meets on a monthly basis and meetings post-COVID have been online up to March, 2026. A few items of business were dispatched, including election of officers. Much of the discussion focused on how to build…
By David Dahmer, Madison 365 Every first and third Saturday of the month, the S.S. Morris Community African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church food pantry ministry provides a variety of free grocery items and hygiene products to those in need in the greater Madison community. In the past few years, it has really begun to grow and serve more people. “It’s mind-blowing to me how beautiful this pantry has been and how God has just orchestrated this. It started as a simple conversation of how we could do this and within two months, we were doing it,” Lili Milton, a minister…

Members make contributions of $50/quarter or more, 100-percent of which goes to local Christian ministries who share the Gospel through their compassionate services. More than $1.3 million has been awarded to more than 70…
The beginning of a new year is an opportunity to try something new. Some people make resolutions, some people just decide they’re ready for something different. Hallie Ringhand hears from some of those people this time of year as the owner of New U Health Coaching, a business she started 17 years ago. But when she has calls from people that she’s worked with from a New Age perspective, before 2022, “I tell them I don’t do that anymore. Now, I want to help people from a biblical perspective.” Hallie grew up in the east side of Madison, Jewish but…
By Mackenzie Krumme – Wisconsin Public Radio – Cori Salchert leaves the Christmas lights on year round. It’s not to celebrate the holidays, but so an ambulance can easily spot her house any time of year. “Hearing that an 11-year-old stopped breathing … can be a scary thing for an EMT, so we just lessen the difficulty for finding our home,” Cori said. Since 2012, Cori and her husband, Mark, have adopted five children, all with a terminal prognosis — meaning the Salcherts adopt these children knowing their lives will be cut short. They get most of their needs met…
