CareNet Pregnancy Center of Dane County invited Christina Bennett to come from her home in Connecticut to Madison to talk about her Pro-Life activism. They almost got a new employee. “If I lived here I would be begging you for a job,” she told the 400-500 people gathered November 12, 2024 at the Monona Terrace Convention Center. Cally was desperately searching for medical care in September of 2020. She worried she might be pregnant and had no insurance coverage. And to make matters worse, the pandemic had made it incredibly difficult to access health care. “I called place after place. No one would see me. A state-of-the-art $25,000 holiday light show at Sun Prairie’s Dunkin’ restaurant runs through the holiday season, all of the way to New Year’s Day. It’s a little bit of holiday self-promotion but it also is designed to benefit and bring awareness to The Elizabeth House. The Elizabeth House is a program of Care Net Pregnancy Center of Dane County, offering a home for young, single pregnant women wanting to make a new start and is provided at no cost to them.
