CareNet Pregnancy Center of Dane County invited Christina Bennett to come from her home in Connecticut to Madison to talk about her Pro-Life activism. They almost got a new employee. “If I lived here I would be begging you for a job,” she told the 400-500 people gathered November 12, 2024 at the Monona Terrace Convention Center. She had visited Care Net’s Elizabeth House maternity home earlier in the day. Fifteen pregnant, homeless women were hosted by Elizabeth House this past year. But three times that many could have been helped if there was more room. To that end, Care…
MadisonChristians.com commentary by Fred Grossenbach – Many of us have been praying for Revival in Madison for years. The prayer still goes on. We long to see God work in powerful miraculous ways to transform the city. I’m reminded however of Jesus’ statement to the Pharisees in the Gospel of John chapter 5 verse 17: “My Father is always at work to this very day, and I too am working.” So Jesus is at work today, right here in Madison. Over $1.1 million has been raised, and through a meticulous granting process, more than 60 Christian organizations and projects in Dane County have benefitted from this support. As a result, hundreds of people have…

A month has gone by since Charles Huang told this story at Blackhawk Church during the Sunday service on March 15, the first Sunday of online church during the COVID-19 Pandemic. At that point, people were just beginning to realize what in meant to shelter in place. Now, as our patience with being cooped up grows thin but the importance of staying put remains, it is a good time to hear his story. Charles shared this incredibly powerful, personal story about his experience with the SARS Outbreak while living in Taiwan, and what it looked like to love and be loved…
