UW Junior Safety Hunter Wohler is not afraid to be who he is, a strength that helped him find his voice as a leader on and off the football field.
Linebacker Darryl Peterson joined the Badgers the same off-season as Wohler, and their lockers are next to each other. They’ve gotten to know each other well and spend a good amount of time together away from football, and one end of their bond is through their faith.
“For us who are believers on the team, it’s important for all of us and Hunter’s a big leader in that,” Peterson said. “Not being afraid to speak his faith, not afraid to ask guys to come to Bible study. He’s a big leader, and we got a big group that goes up on Thursday and he’s a big reason for the group that’s grown every week for that stuff.”
Wohler and a number of Badgers participate in Athletes in Action.
