Madison is a non-profit organization hub and Madison residents are generous. But keeping the organization funded so it can serve the people it was created to serve can still be a challenge.
The Madison Christian Giving Fund (MCGF) was created to serve organizations like that. And MCGF is next month offering a Capacity Building Workshop for local non-profits, especially Christian non-profits, their target audience.
Marcy Heim, a highly sought-after speaker and a world class expert on philanthropy and fundraising, will be sharing her insights on fundraising and forming life-long relationships with donors.
Attendees typically pay hundreds of dollars to learn from her. However, admission is free for this special event. In addition, participants will receive a free copy of Marcy’s book, Empowering Your Board to Serve as Effective Development Ambassadors.
The workshop is Friday, October 7, 2022, 1-4pm, at InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, 635 Science Drive, in University Research Park.
MCGF says:
Every Ministry Partner, Board member and staff has a responsibility, opportunity, and role in creating relationships to provide the resources necessary to make God’s work thrive! Everyone can use their unique gifts to encourage and facilitate joyful giving to Christian ministries.
Engaging these folks is fun and rewarding if we are clear on what we need to do and how to do it. Professional speaker, author and development coach, Marcy Heim, will lead us on a fast-paced journey around her “Artful Asker Cycle of Successful Relationships.” ™
We’ll focus on what it means to have a strong culture of generosity and the powerful role your thinking plays in your success as an ambassador for your ministry. We will look at creating vibrant options for giving and get started on a personal action plan for enhancing major giving life-long relationships.
Plus, you will learn, write, and deliver Marcy’s “3-sentence ask” ™, a fail-proof ask strategy to ask for anything artfully. The workshop is supported by Marcy’s best-selling book, <Empowering Your Board to Serve as Effective Development Ambassadors that will be provided to each participant attending!
Seating is limited. If you have any questions email editor@madisonchristians.com.
