(WMTV) – It’s a parent’s unending love and faith in God, that’s held the Garduno-Martinez family together in the 10 months since the shooting at Abundant Life Christian School. The Madison family has experienced some of the most painful times imaginable, as then 17-year-old Samy Garduno-Martinez, who loved cross country and spending time with friends, was one of the students critically wounded following the school shooting. “People are not our enemies, they are our mission,” said Rev. Dr. Elie Hasbani, the speaker at this year’s annual Governor’s Prayer Breakfast, sponsored by Milwaukee’s Christian Courier newspaper. The Grand Ballroom of the Wisconsin Club on West Wisconsin Avenue was filled with several hundred attendees. Rev. The Dwelling, a space dedicated to 24/7 prayer and a heart for Kingdom mission has opened up on Madison’s Northside. “The Dwelling is not rooted in any local church, but we are intimately connected with and members of the Body of Christ in Madison,” said Kate Boler, the lead of the core team. She said members of City Church, Damascus Road Church, Christ Church and Blackhawk Church were involved.
