On Saturday October 13, one week ago today, Madison’s fourth Touched Twice Clinic offered medical help and other assistance to 285 needy local residents. A total of 260 volunteers made the clinic possible.
"The clinic was a great success with volunteers from approximately 20 Madison Area churches involved and more that 285 people served," said clinic director Elizabeth Fredenberg. "Everyone was blessed! Thank you Lord!"
Other numbers collected from the clinic included:
- 300 brats served
- 400 hotdogs served
- 362 adults-received food from food pantry
- 164 children-received food from food pantry
- 11 invited Jesus Christ into their lives
Fredenberg said that patrons of the clinic were surveyed and responses were tabulated on a scale of 1-10.
- How helpful was the clinic- 9.4
- How well was #1 need met- 9.1
- How friendly were the volunteers- 10
- How likely are you to recommend a toutched twice clinic- 9.7
The volunteer manning the exit desk described one woman who had come to the clinic very reserved. By the time she reached the exit desk she could hardly express herself because of the tears of gratitude she was crying. The volunteer was able to bless her further by praying for her. All medical and food assistance provided by the clinic was donated and distributed by volunteers. The Touched Twice Clinic is a zero budget event.
