Summer vacation is underway and children have time for exploring new things, including faith in Jesus Christ. With summer camps, 5-Day Clubs, and Vacation Bible School, opportunities abound for sharing the gospel message.
Madison has a cool Christian camp in its own backyard, the Lake Waubesa Bible Camp, on the eastern shore of Lake Waubesa. The first camp for grades 2-4 begins tomorrow.
Residential camps and day camps are offered. Six years ago Katrina Rust gave us an end-of-the-summer report on what it’s like.
Madison’s Child Evangelism Fellowship will be active at several local county fairs again this summer, as well as presenting 5-Day Clubs in backyards across the region. They are looking for more hostesses who are willing to offer a backyard full of neighborhood kids for a potentially life-changing experience. For more information check the CEF website.
The Madison office is welcoming a new local coordinator, Linda Draper. Linda comes to Madison from central Indiana, where she was on the CEF committee for ten years.
And Vacation Bible School? Some churches are still offering them although they’re not as common as they used to be. Let us know if there’s one in your area.
