MADISON (WKOW)– There’s no other way to say it, it has been cold this week in Madison. The extreme weather has certainly been hard on Madison’s homeless population.
Groups in Madison have been working to help them out, but now they have a new arsenal of donated supplies to help the countless people who are living on the streets. It all started with homeless advocate Tami Miller reached out to a few community leaders and asked them for help.
Editor’s Note: Our attention was drawn to this story by one of our readers, who said of Tami Miller, “She epitomizes what our pastor stresses, namely reaching out to aid the world in Christ’s name. Usually Christ doesn’t get mentioned in the news stories about her, as was the case in TV story….but I thought you might want to follow up on this.”
Thanks for the tip. Let us know when you see other parts of the body of Christ reaching out to help our community. That’s what MC is all about, telling and sharing these stories.
“In Christ, we who are many form one body and each member belongs to all the others.” – Romans 12:5
