Habitat for Humanity of Dane County is seeking 8 to 10 families for homes that Habitat will be constructing in 2007. The homes will be located in the Madison and Sun Prairie areas as well as a duplex in the community of Oregon.
To apply for Habitat homeownership, applicants must attend one of the following informational meetings to receive an application:
- Nov. 5, 2 p.m., Bethel Lutheran Church, 312 Wisconsin Ave., Madison
- Nov. 5, 4:30 p.m., Warner Park, 1625 Northport Dr., Madison
- Nov. 7, 6:30 p.m., Harambee Center, 2202 South Park St., Madison
- Nov. 8, 6:30 p.m., McFarland Municipal Center, 5915 Milwaukee St., McFarland
- Nov. 9, 6 p.m., Independent Bank, 744 North Main St., Oregon
- Nov. 13, 6:30 p.m., Bristol Lutheran Church, 6835 Highway N, Sun Prairie
The meeting will last about 90 minutes. Program applicants are required to have good credit and three years positive rental history. Depending on family size, applicant income is generally between $25,000 to $40,000. For more information, contact Habitat for Humanity of Dane County at 255-1549.
