Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is — His good, pleasing and perfect will. — Romans 12:2
How do you experience God’s peace?
I used to get frustrated with other drivers when I was driving in heavy traffic. Now I relax and enjoy the ride.
We have a friend who was terrified of thunderstorms. Now she goes outside and enjoys the show.
My wife and I used to argue until three in the morning over issues we could not resolve. Now – at least most of the time – we are at peace with each other.
I was terrified of dogs. Most of that fear has now been lifted.
I used to shake every time I sat at a kitchen table. Now I relax and enjoy the meal, and I’m in no hurry to leave.
Another friend was so terrified that he was going to hell that it took three kinds of medication for him to sleep at night. In an hour, we discovered the amazing reason for his fears, Jesus took care of it, and he walked away in complete peace.
Another friend was haunted by her guilt over her babies that she aborted. Jesus met with her and brought soothing relief from all that shame.
