MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – Members of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church gathered for a special worship service on Sunday, celebrating 20 years of the church’s food pantry. The celebration had a bittersweet tone. Staff and volunteers have served thousands of families, making a significant impact, but, like most local food pantries, the demand continues to grow. The newly built Extended Hands food pantry attached to the northwest end of the Lighthouse church and school building was dedicated with prayers and a ribbon-cutting ceremony, Thursday afternoon, May 18, 2023.
