This website, madisonchristians.com, is ancient by internet standards, having first gone online in 2006. It needs an overhaul.
And, thanks to the Madison Christian Giving Fund, an overhaul is coming. madisonchristians.com was among the 2022 grantees. That will enable this totally volunteer Madison Christian community internet portal to achieve a new look and new functionality. Finally, we can be mobile phone friendly, for instance.
Over the past 16 years madisonchristians.com has written and linked to hundreds of stories that illustrate how Madison has a vibrant Christian community. That is not how Madison is typically perceived but that perception has to change.
In the months and years ahead we will rededicate ourselves to telling more of that story. Because we believe that Madison’s Christian community holds the key to the renewal that Madison really needs. And there will be a closer link to the Madison Christian Giving Fund so you will know how the rest of their ministry partners are serving people in need in Madison. Look for inspiring stories on madisonchristians.com.
God told Abraham, “all the world will be blessed through you.” God told Jeremiah, “seek the welfare of the city to which I have carried you.” We are the inheritors of that promise and that admonition. Too often Christians have expected the community to come to the church to find God.
But God is at work out in the community of Madison and we need to be out there with him. Paul wrote to the Romans, “In Christ, we who are many form one body.” madisonchristians.com is committed to the body of Christ in Madison. And the best is yet to come.
