Bob Lenz, Lifest organizer, Christian author and internationally acclaimed speaker finally spoke in Madison. Lenz speaks to public and private schools all over the world promoting the Dignity Revolution, Standing Up for the Value of Every Person. But until October 11th, not in Madison.
You may remember that Bob Lenz was scheduled to appear at Lifest at Bratfest in 2014 with the Dignity Revolution message. When the Madison media and anti-Christian elements found out he was overtly Christian and pro-life they brought pressure and criticism and he was scratched from the program by the organizers.
The venue for Lenz’s first appearance in Madison was Lighthouse Christian School. Lighthouse, the only voucher school in Madison, serves primarily low income minority kids in their new location at 6400 Schroeder Road. The audience of 150 students and their teachers warmed to the message and Lenz didn’t hold back.
His message is designed to address the epidemic of teen age suicide and bullying. Using illustrations all kids can relate to Lenz emphasizes that every child has value because every child is created in God’s image, and Christ died for every one. So no matter what may have been their life experiences every child has value. Every child must show courage in the face of bullying or embarrassing moments. Finally, Lenz challenged every child to show respect to others no matter what, and lead their classmates by example. “Something the media should learn” he said. The “warm up” act, A.J., had the whole school in stitches with his audience participation magic.
Dignity Revolution provides practical, proven and tested tools for teachers, schools and parents for guiding students toward embracing a new system, declaring that everyone has worth and value. It brings to the forefront what life could be for all of us when every person is valued and offered dignity. “There is a public school version of the presentation in case anyone is freaked out about the Jesus bit,” Lenz said. Maybe its time for our public and private schools to invite Lenz back, no matter what the anti Christian minority says.
