The Madison Christian Giving Fund raises money to give it away to Christian non profits in Dane County. In 2015 the Fund raised over $120,000 from individual donors, foundations and businesses through payroll deduction campaigns. The Fund received over 50 applications for funds and after a thorough vetting process granted the money to 16 organizations in Dane County in 2016. The organizations focus on evangelism, children and youth, human needs, social justice, and discipleship and spiritual development.
“When we see the great work our partners are doing, we want to contribute to their long term success too”, said Scott Haumersen, Chairman of the Fund. “That’s why we are offering free training in areas that our partners have identified as being extremely helpful in accomplishing their mission.”
In a recent survey, 88% of the respondents said this type of training is badly needed for Christian non profits.
“In the same survey, our partner organizations identified as critical to their success:
• Strategic and Business Planning
• Marketing, Branding, and Communication
• Fund Raising
• Social Media Strategy and Implementation
So, beginning in July and continuing through the 4th quarter we are inviting our partners to participate in these training opportunities. We have recruited top notch professionals in each of these key areas to assist us in providing this training.”
“Our goal is to assist our partners in accomplishing their Christ centered mission in the community. We want to contribute more than money. We want success and sustainability for all of our partner organizations,” Haumersen concluded.
