Seventeen Madison-area ministries and churches are joining together to make a difference outside the four walls of the church.
This summer, they will gather for four days of experiential learning, training and equipping in evangelism at the 2013 Wisconsin School of Power and Love.
All are welcome to attend the event, which meets August 28-31 at High Point Church (7702 Old Sauk Rd.).
The school, which is hosted in various cities across the country and sponsored by local church bodies, focuses on living a lifestyle of love and mobilizing the church in power evangelism.
“It’s all about becoming love,” Power and Love speaker Todd White said. “We can actually walk like Jesus because Jesus walked in love all the time.”
The daily schedule will consist of worship, gospel-centered teaching from a team of speakers and hands-on application time. Each day, participants are encouraged to go out in small groups to intentionally love their city in practical ways.
“Power and Love is different than any other conference because we don’t come together just to receive and to hear,” speaker Bob Hazlett said. “We get to go out and do what Jesus said we could do.”
