So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. — Isaiah 41:10 NIV
There are many voices in the world that need to be reckoned with. Some are "in your face." Some are loud. Many are clamoring to get through to you, past the clutter. Some are pervasive.
But the most challenging voices that you will ever hear are the quiet voices inside your own heart that determine to undermine your faith.
There is a voice, for example, that says, "I am not safe. Something bad is going to happen to me." This is a voice that cripples, that paralyzes, that robs us of life.
But there is another voice that says, "I am with you. It’s okay now."
The voice of God is quiet. So quiet, that you will not hear it until you are ready to quiet all the outside noise and walk with Jesus into those places in your heart where the faith-crippling messages are stored. There an amazing thing happens. The voices inside that seem to scream "terror," "panic," "fear," and "dread," give way the Quiet Voice of peace.
Again and again, I’ve witnessed the Lord’s quiet voice transform the people He loves (including me). I know His voice is real and I know it works. Let me encourage you, the Lord’s transforming voice is available to you.
Be encouraged!
