Jane Raymond is the Advocacy and Protection Systems Developers for the State Department of Health and Family Services. Her extensive background will show how people can be effective advocates for their loved ones and how to assess the safety, quality and consistency of care provided. Betsy Abramson is a Professor at UW-Madison School of Law and a consultant in elder law. She will be speaking about how to be a better advocate for your elderly loved one.
As communities of faith, it is important to provide outreach to our elderly parishioners. These presentations will also cover how parish visitors can create an even stronger safety net for our elderly. People will learn the techniques of observation that can lead to improving the care, the environment and the futures of our elderly.
