Regarding the A&J chaplaincy program
Dane Manufacturing, founded in 1917 is a modern metal fabrication and stamping company that has developed a reputation for top-quality performance, personal service and competitive pricing. The company has a rich tradition of contract manufacturing serving many different industries providing parts, subassemblies, and complete assembled products in a variety of metals and finishes. Also included in the Dane services are in-house design and engineering capabilities.
Troy F. Berg, President of Dane Manufacturing believes that the company sponsored Chaplain Assistance Program (CAP) is a value-added benefit provided to employees, “Traditional employee assistance programs have been around for a while, but in many regards they do not go far enough in serving the employees’ needs and then I learned about the Capital Chaplain’s program. There really is not anything in the market place like them. As a business owner for many years, I have found it difficult as a working owner to show compassion and sympathy for my employees, because though I certainly do care about their personal matters, it is often not appropriate or possible for me to come along side them during personal difficulties. Capital Chaplains, however, allows an owner to do just that. This program shows the employees’ that the owner cares by having a chaplain, that is paid by the company, come along-side them when needed and in this way serve the employees’ social and emotional needs while avoiding personal entanglement. I strongly recommend that owners who are interested in serving their employees’ needs while maintaining high morale and productivity consider the Capital Chaplain’s Chaplains Assistance Program.”
Because of the chaplain agreements established with A&J and Dane, Capital Chaplains is pleased to announce that
According to the Wall Street Journal, “Police and fire departments, hospitals and the military have long had chaplains, but after September 11, their role in the corporate world took on much greater significance. Most companies use chaplains on an outsourced basis from secular employee-assistance programs or from chaplaincy providers.” (September 17, 2001)
At its core, corporate chaplaincy is caring for people and has the potential to transform organizations.
