Boomerangs Resale Store was devastated by a fire on July 15th and has been operating out of a temporary site since August. On January 20-21 Boomerangs will have a Grand Reopening celebration, during regular business hours, to invite the community to see the new store in its original location and take advantage of the great deals they have to offer.
The store is located at 1133 North Sherman Avenue at the Northgate Mall on the North side of Madison. The renovated space is bigger than before and will allow Boomerangs to offer a wider selection of furniture, clothing, housewares and more.
Community Response Enables Reopening
After the fire the community immediately stepped in to show their support. Neighbors and customers stopped by to offer their condolences. Others emailed and posted words of encouragement on Facebook.
“We’re so thankful for the outpouring of support we’ve received from the community that’s made it possible to reopen with a store that’s going to be even better than before: volunteers helped to salvage fixtures from the remains of the burned down store; mall owners (Alexander Company) generously offered space in the mall to set up the temporary store; storage space, money and other items have been donated,” said Craig Gielow, Store Manager.
Boomerangs was established as an outreach ministry of Door Creek Church in 2008 with the goal of meeting needs of people in the Madison community. The store provides high quality, gently used household items at a reasonable price. The reopening of Boomerangs represents Door Creek’s commitment to the Madison area and all profits will continue to be invested in the community.
Store Hours:
Monday through Friday from 10 am – 6 pm
Saturday 9 am – 5 pm
